Being from Florida I am pissed but not surprised about this Trayvon Martin trial, so when I woke up Monday morning and saw that KJLH (Steve Wonder's radio station) was putting together a prayer/rally at Lamerk Park. I had to be there.
So I jump on La Brea and headed south, made a left on Wilshire then a quick right on Crenshaw. And just rode that out until I saw the park on the left.
On arrival the smell of weed and sage made me feel right at home. The radio station had the tent and speakers set up with a microphone. Speakers ranged from 9 year old girls to UCLA and USC graduates.
It was a great peaceful energy at the rally when I left, but by the time I made it home and flipped on the news things had changed......
